Stand Up For SALT

You have the opportunity to tell Congress how important the State and Local Tax Deduction (SALT) is for your family, business, and community. In 2017, Red Staters passed the Tax Hike Bill, which capped the SALT deduction to $10,000 annually. SALT is a middle-class issue for Jersey: families take an average annual deduction of $19,000, almost two times the cap. Restoring the full SALT deduction is a key step to making Jersey a better place to live, work, and raise a family.

Congressman Josh Gottheimer, a Co-Chair of the SALT Caucus, is rallying North Jersey residents to stand up for SALT. Use the following form to express your support for restoring the full SALT deduction before the Tax Hike Bill expires in 2025. Please submit a comment with your contact information by October 4, 2024. These comments will be shared with Members of the Ways & Means Committee in Congress.
