Action: This bill expands regulations that prevent animal crushing — making it clear that an intentional offense is a criminal offense, that punishments for animal crushing include a fine, a prison term of up to seven years, or both, and provides exceptions for the act to be legal in very circumstantial  cases.

Action: This bill will permanently prohibit the sale of animals to research labs by Class B (or random source) dealers who round up pets that are often lost or stolen. This bill also establishes fines for any violator of this law.

Action: This bill addresses the practice of soring horses, where trainers deliberately torment horses to get them to fling their front legs higher, just to win a show competition. Specifically, the bill expands soring regulation and enforcement at horse shows, exhibitions, sales, and auctions, including by establishing a new system for inspecting horses for soring. The bill also increases the penalties for violations.

Result: Referred to Subcommittee on Innovation, Data, and Commerce. The PAST Act of 2021 passed the House.

Action: The bill sets requirements for: (1) the exchange of state-owned lands(2) federal reservation of water rights, (3) the measurement of setbacks for roads with wilderness, (4) authorized livestock grazing, and (5) withdrawal of such lands from disposition under certain public land laws.
