Through a Congressional surplus books program, there is a wide range of available books, including fiction and nonfiction novels, children’s books, textbooks, cookbooks, and more. To request books, eligible organizations and institutions must be in New Jersey’s Fifth Congressional District and fall into one of the following categories:

QUESTION: Am I eligible to receive books?
ANSWER: Those eligible to receive books include: Full-time, tax-supported, or nonprofit educational institution: school, school system, college, university, museum, or public library; an agency of local, state, or federal government; and nonprofit institution or organization that has tax-exempt status under the of section 501 of the Internal Revenue Code of 1954 (see 41 CFR 101-44.207 (a)(17)) and that operates a library and/or research provisions center open to the public.
QUESTION: How much does it cost to send books to my organization?
ANSWER: This program is completely free for eligible organizations!
QUESTION: How many books can I request?
ANSWER: North Jersey’s great schools and libraries can fill out the form on my website and request up to fifty books at a time.
