Gottheimer Addresses Importance of Bipartisan Support for Israel at AIPAC Policy Conference
Today, Congressman Josh Gottheimer (NJ-5) spoke on a panel at the AIPAC Policy Conference with other Jewish freshmen Members where he emphasized the importance of bipartisanship in support for the U.S.-Israel partnership.
“Israel is our most important ally and a beacon of democracy in a troubled region; we must never allow the US-Israel partnership to become sullied by partisan political concerns,” said Congressman Josh Gottheimer. “In Congress, I am focused on working across the aisle to make certain our two countries have an enhanced missile defense partnership, sanctions on Iran’s aggression with ballistic missile programs and do everything in our power to stop illicit financing of terrorist groups like Hezbollah. I will continue to advocate relentlessly for strong bipartisan support for Israel to strengthen our own national security interests as well as those of our vital ally and friend Israel.”
