NEW MILFORD, NJ – Today, June 14, 2019, U.S. Congressman Josh Gottheimer (NJ-5) bagged groceries for shoppers at the new ShopRite in New Milford, which opened Thursday, while speaking with constituents about the issues that matter to them. Gottheimer also highlighted the 250 jobs at the new ShopRite.
“It was great to be in New Milford today to speak with local residents about the issues that matter to them,” said Congressman Josh Gottheimer (NJ-5). “I heard a lot about how we need to make living here in North Jersey more affordable, and that means cutting taxes at every level, fully reinstating the SALT deduction and fixing our crumbling infrastructure. I’m also working, across the aisle, to ensure more businesses can start and grow here.”
Gottheimer noted that businesses of all sizes are key to job growth and economic development in North Jersey. During this Congress, Gottheimer has visited businesses throughout the Fifth District to thank them for creating and growing jobs in northern New Jersey.
