New Center Will Bring 190 Jobs, Cutting-Edge, Convenient Care

Today, June 25, 2018, Congressman Josh (NJ-5) joined leaders from Memorial Sloan Kettering (MSK) and Hackensack Meridian Health, local elected officials, healthcare leaders, doctors, nurses, staff, patients, and members of the community for the opening of the MSK Bergen outpatient treatment center in Montvale.

The state-of-the-art, 110,000-square-foot facility will bring 190 clinical and administrative jobs to the area. MSK Bergen will include 35 doctors exclusively focused on treating cancer, 28 exam consult rooms, 18 infusion bays, three treatment rooms for outpatient procedures, an on-site rapid response lab that processes blood and other specimens quickly, and an on-site pharmacy that lets patients fill their prescriptions before heading home.

“For more than two decades, Memorial Sloan Kettering has supported and strengthened North Jersey families. But today, MSK takes its commitment to our community to a whole new level. MSK Bergen will allow local patients to receive their cancer care close to home, rather than travel all the way into Manhattan. That reduced travel is more than just mere convenience—it means fewer interruptions to your busy, day-to-day life that doesn’t just pause because you or a loved one needs medical attention,” said Congressman Josh Gottheimer (NJ-5). “I have been so inspired by MSK’s dedication to improving the lives of those battling cancer and advancing the frontier of research into cancer’s causes, effects, and potential cures. Thank you to the MSK leaders, doctors, nurses, technicians, and staff who have made today possible and who have chosen to invest in our community and our families. We are so grateful.”
