Today, Saturday, November 30, 2019, U.S. Congressman Josh Gottheimer (NJ-5) took part in Small Business Saturday and visited local Glen Rock small businesses alongside members of the Glen Rock Chamber of Commerce.

“Small businesses are the bedrock of our North Jersey community. They’re our job creators, the backbone of our economy, and I urge all of our residents to show their support not only on Small Business Saturday but also all year round,” said Congressman Josh Gottheimer (NJ-5) today. “In Congress, I’m dedicated to working across the aisle to lower taxes, cut outdated and unnecessarily burdensome red tape, improve access to capital, unleash more economic opportunity, and create jobs — to continue making North Jersey a great place to live and do business.”

In Glen Rock today, Gottheimer visited the Curious Reader, The Creative Den, Little Joe and John’s Barber Shop, Carrick Mor, the Stephen Azzarone All State Insurance Agency, Bagel Gourmet, and John’s Boy Pizzeria.

New Jersey has more than 860,000 small businesses, which makes up 99.6% of all businesses in the Garden State. 1.8 million people in New Jersey are small business employees, making up 49.6% of all employees within the Garden State. Furthermore, small businesses created 33,000 new jobs in New Jersey last year.
