ORADELL, NJ – Monday, February 11, 2019 U.S. Congressman Josh Gottheimer (NJ-5) worked with local school children at Oradell Public School to make Valentine’s Day cards for veterans. Gottheimer is encouraging people across North Jersey to participate in “Valentines for Veterans” by dropping off cards at his New Jersey offices. He will then distribute to local veterans to thank them for their service.
“Having the backs of our veterans and our active duty service members is one of my top priorities in Congress,” said Congressman Josh Gottheimer (NJ-5). “We owe the freedoms we enjoy, living in the greatest country in the world, to those who fight to protect and defend those freedoms every day. This is just one small way we can say thank you to them for their service. I am so proud of all the students participating for recognizing the sacrifices our brave men and women make every single day.”
Those wishing to participate can drop off Valentine’s Day cards to Gottheimer’s Glen Rock office or mail the cards to his Glen Rock office at 65 Harristown Road, Suite 104, Glen Rock, NJ 07452. The cards will be delivered to the veterans group at Ramapo College and the Paramus Veterans home. If you have any questions about Valentine’s for Vets, please feel free to call (201) 389-1100.
