U.S. Congressman Josh Gottheimer (NJ-5) held his 41st “Cup of Joe with Josh” Town Hall at the Blairstown Diner on Thursday, August 8, 2019, in Blairstown. Gottheimer was joined by AARP New Jersey officials to focus on issues facing seniors throughout our community. Dozens of local residents joined the discussion with Gottheimer about everything from reinstating the SALT and charitable tax deduction to provide actual tax relief for our hardworking families, to lowering out-of-pocket costs for prescription drugs, Gottheimer’s work in Congress to end senior scams and robo-calls, and his work with the bipartisan Problem Solvers Caucus.

“I’d like to thank the great folks at the Blairstown Diner for welcoming us and I truly appreciate everyone who joined me to share their thoughts and ask questions about the issues on their minds,” said Congressman Josh Gottheimer (NJ-5). “Hearing from the folks I represent all around North Jersey is an essential part of my ability to best represent their interests in Congress. I always appreciate the opportunity to answer questions and engage with the community to discuss what’s concerning them most. I will continue to fight for common sense solutions on the issues we discussed, including keeping our air and water clean, cutting taxes, investing in our crumbling infrastructure, lowering our health care costs, and other issues in North Jersey. I’m going to take the concerns I heard today to inform my work in Washington fighting for the Fifth District.”

Below: Gottheimer takes questions from Fifth District constituents on senior issues at his 41st “Cup of Joe with Josh” Town Hall.
