Gottheimer Hosts Service Academy Night for Students in Bergenfield

BERGENFIELD, NJ — This week, U.S. Congressman Josh Gottheimer (NJ-5) hosted more than one hundred attendees at his Fifth District Service Academy Night for high school students interested in attending one of our country’s five service academies.
The event, hosted at Bergenfield High School, included representatives from the U.S. Military Academy, U.S. Naval Academy, U.S. Merchant Marine Academy, and U.S. Air Force Academy.
“Here in the United States, we have the best trained, most sophisticated, and best-equipped military in the history of the world,” said Congressman Josh Gottheimer (NJ-5). “I am proud to see so many incredible men and women who are eager to pick up the mantle of world leadership in our country’s military by applying to our prestigious military academies. The spirit of duty and patriotism that called these Fifth District high school students to service is inspiring, and my office is here to help them throughout their application.”
