Gottheimer Joins North Jersey Families, Farmers, and Local Business Owners at 82nd Annual Warren County Farmers’ Fair
WARREN COUNTY, NJ – This week, U.S. Congressman Josh Gottheimer (NJ-5) joined North Jersey families, farmers, artisans, and local businesses at the 82nd annual Warren County Farmers’ Fair, to take part in the farm exhibits, tractor pull, and the hot air balloon festival.
The Fair began informally in 1859 as a gathering of farmers, mechanics, and manufacturers, and then incorporated in 1937. The Fair has continued to evolve since, including the addition of the hot air balloon festival 17 years ago. This year’s Fair includes agriculture and livestock exhibits, produce competitions, horse shows, baking and canning exhibits, an art expo, and concerts. Gottheimer presented two awards at the fair: one for the cattle show and one for volunteer service to the fair.
“I look forward to the Warren County Farmers’ Fair all year long. It’s one of North Jersey’s best events and it really brings together the whole community. It was great meeting farmers and families, taking part in the hot air balloon launch, and walking through the Fair with my son, who had his fair share of ribs, corn on the cob, and ice cream,” said Congressman Josh Gottheimer (NJ-5). “The Fair doesn’t just bring together families and friends, but it’s also an incredible opportunity to support our local businesses, as well as our youth organizations like 4-H and the Future Farmers of America. And I thank everyone who worked so hard to make this year’s Fair possible.”
