Today, Congressman Josh Gottheimer (NJ-5) met with nearly a hundred New Jersey’s Fifth District residents at his “Cup of Joe with Josh” Town Hall in Ramsey. He spoke individually with tables of constituents gathered at Ramsey’s Majestic Diner before taking questions from the group. Gottheimer has held these “Cup of Joe with Josh” events regularly across North Jersey to hear directly from the people he serves about their concerns and priorities. Gottheimer and constituents discussed the school shooting in Parkland, Florida, and the work Gottheimer is doing to cut taxes, improve infrastructure, and ensure our schools have clean drinking water in North Jersey.

“What I heard loud and clear today is that Jersey parents, like me, are worried about the safety of their children when they go to school. Our parents shouldn’t have to pray that their kids will make it through the day alive. Congress must confront this crisis. We must also keep working to fight back, in light of the Tax Hike Bill and actually find tax relief for our residents. I’m working overtime to find tax cuts,” said Congressman Josh Gottheimer (NJ-5).
