Today, Congressman Josh Gottheimer (NJ-5) met with tables of constituents at his “Cup of Joe with Josh” Town Hall at the Fair Lawn Land & Sea Restaurant, including a number of North Jersey students. Gottheimer has held 22 “Cup of Joe with Josh” events across North Jersey to hear directly from the people he serves. Gottheimer and constituents discussed the work he is doing to cut taxes, improve infrastructure, and safeguard our children in schools after the shooting in Parkland, Florida.

“What I heard sitting with New Jersey students and families today is that America’s teachers and students deserve better to prevent violence in our schools. There’s no reason we shouldn’t be able to keep our children safe in their schools. I am proud of these students for organizing on an issue that matters to them and I will take their passion back as I continue to work across the aisle to get things done for the Fifth District,” said Congressman Josh Gottheimer.
