This afternoon, Congressman Josh Gottheimer (NJ-5) announced that his office is now accepting submissions for the 2018 Congressional Art Competition, which recognizes and encourages the talents of America’s youth.

Students who attend high school in the Fifth District can submit their artwork by filling out the submission survey and sending their signed student release form and a photograph of their submission to Gottheimer.Arts@mail.house.gov by Monday, April 23. Online voting will take place between Wednesday, April 25, and Friday, May 4. The selected entry will be displayed in the U.S. Capitol for one year.

“Last year, I was impressed by the talent of the young artists from across northern New Jersey, and I’m eager to see this year’s submissions,” said Congressman Josh Gottheimer. “I look forward to displaying the winning piece in the Capitol and bringing a little more of the Fifth District back with me to Washington.”
