As part of his “Josh on the Job” tour, U.S. Congressman Josh Gottheimer (NJ-5) joined the staff at Applebee’s in Paramus to wait and bus tables for lunch on Friday.
“There is nothing small about the impact of small businesses on the North Jersey economy. They’re where the jobs are. They’re the key to strong economic growth,” said Congressman Josh Gottheimer (NJ-5). “Applebee’s in Paramus has great food and a welcoming staff, making it perfect for a night out with family and friends. They also provide a great opportunity for franchising, which is how so many in this country get their first job or their start in small business. In Congress, I will continue to fight to lower taxes, cut red tape, and invest in New Jersey infrastructure so that small businesses like Applebee’s can come, stay, and thrive here.”
“Since 1994, the Applebee’s here in Paramus has been prividing a quality, affordable neighborhood dining experience to our North Jersey families. This is the community I grew up in and I’m proud to now be able to serve them,” said Tim Doherty, President of Doherty Enterprises that owns the franchise. “I appreciate Congressman Gottheimer coming to help us out this afternoon.”
The Applebee’s on East Ridgewood in Paramus employs more than 50 people.
