HACKENSACK, NJ – Monday, January 7, 2019, U.S. Congressman Josh Gottheimer (NJ-5) administered the oath of office to Bergen County Freeholder Vice-Chair Mary Amoroso. Amoroso will serve as Vice-Chair for the first Bergen County Board of Chosen Freeholders ever to have women serving in all leadership positions.
“No one knows Bergen County quite like Mary,” said Congressman Josh Gottheimer (NJ-5). “Mary has a proven track record of being a passionate and effective advocate for women and families in North Jersey though work as an award-winning journalist and a public servant. Throughout my first term in Congress, she has been an indispensable partner in trying to get our taxes down here and having the backs of our first responders and I look forward to working with her and this Board moving forward.”
