Today, U.S. Congressman Josh Gottheimer (NJ-5) swore in Bob Hinrichs to the Hackettstown Town Council at the Hackettstown Municipal Building.

“I was honored to swear in Councilman Hinrichs in Hackettstown this morning. I’m looking forward to working closely with the Councilman in the coming weeks and months, as we fight for lower taxes, less red tape, our first responders and veterans, and clean drinking water for our kids. The Councilman will be an excellent leader in Hackettstown and in our community,” said Congressman Josh Gottheimer (NJ-5). “Councilman Hinrichs’s private sector experience will make him a great public servant on the Town Council. I know that Mayor DeGiovanni — who graciously hosted our Mayors Summit last year — will been a great partner for Councilman Hinrichs in caring for the families of Hackettstown. I know that the Councilman is up to the task and I’m grateful for his service.”

Earlier this year, Gottheimer hosted his bipartisan Mayors Summit in Hackettstown. Last week, he announced that more than $6.5 million in federal grant resources that will be used to install a new positive train control system on New Jersey Transit lines that include Hackettstown to improve commuter and rail safety in Warren County and across North Jersey.
