On Thursday, January 2, 2020, U.S. Congressman Josh Gottheimer (NJ-5) administered the oath of office in Dumont for Mayor Andrew LaBruno at the Old North Reformed Church.
Also sworn in during the ceremony were Councilman Conor Gorman, Councilwoman Lisa Rossillo, and Dumont Police Officers and Fire Firefighters: Officer Zachary O’Connor, Sergeant Martin LiSanti, Officer Dillon McInerney, Fire Chief Christian Baierwalter, Assistant Fire Chief Marc Abdulla, and Deputy Fire Chief Paul Pfeiffer.
“Dumont is lucky to have Mayor Andrew Labruno, Councilman Conor Gorman, and Councilwoman Lisa Rosillo as leaders dedicated to making the Borough and even greater place to live,” said Congressman Josh Gottheimer (NJ-5). “Mayor Labruno brings his incredible experience in law enforcement, coaching, and non-profit organizing to a community that he is clearly dedicated to serving and will do so with distinction. He will continue to fight for lower taxes, to improve our local infrastructure, and to make capital improvements to keep Dumont beautiful.”
Gottheimer continued, “I would also like to thank and congratulate all of the councilmembers and first responders being sworn in today. Dumont Volunteer Fire Department Officers and Police Department Officers work incredibly hard to protect this community and keep our families safe. We must always have their backs.”
