Gottheimer Swears in Park Ridge Mayor, Council Members, First Responders

Today, Wednesday, January 1, 2020, U.S. Congressman Josh Gottheimer (NJ-5) administered the oath of office in Park Ridge to Mayor Kieth Misciagna, Councilman Robert Metzdorf, and Councilwoman Kelly Epstein.  

Also sworn in today in Park Ridge were Volunteer Fire Department Officers and Police Reserve Officers: Fire Chief Tom Lepore, Fire Department Captain Mark Durst, Lieutenant Richard Bosi, Lieutenant Thomas G. Derienzo, Lieutenant Peter Mauro, Police Reserves Chief Paul Witte, Captain Christopher Brown, Lieutenant George Harcher, Sergeant Aaron Attong, and Sergeant Vincent Lemba.

“Park Ridge is in good hands with Mayor Misciagna, Councilman Metzdorf, and Councilwoman Kelly Epstein a part of its leadership,” said Congressman Josh Gottheimer (NJ-5). “Mayor Misciagna, whose father was also a mayor in New Jersey, is a 26-year Park Ridge resident with a clear dedication to our community. For years Keith been dedicated to our workers, to children throughout the community, and to our local businesses. Councilwoman Epstein, who is also a history and psychology teacher at Park Ridge High School, will continue rejuvenating the community center and boosting recreation for Park Ridge families. Councilman Metzdorf, who’s previously served on the Park Ridge Planning Board and Recreational Committee, and as a youth sports coach, will continue prioritizing pedestrian safety and ensuring Park Ridge provides the exceptional services it’s known for.”

Gottheimer continued, “I would also like to thank and congratulate our first responders being sworn in today. Park Ridge Volunteer Fire Department Officers and Police Reserve Officers work incredibly hard to protect this community and keep our families safe. We must always have their backs.”
