HAWORTH, NJ – Sunday, January 7, 2019, U.S. Congressman Josh Gottheimer (NJ-5) swore in three members of the Haworth Borough Council at Haworth Borough Hall. Heather Wasser and Dina Siciliano will serve their first terms on the Haworth Town Council, while, councilman Glenn Pooskinian was sworn in to serve his fifth term on the Council.

“I want to congratulate Councilman Pooskinian on being sworn in to his fifth term on the Haworth Council. He has been a champion of fiscal responsibility and transparency in government, trying to involve the public have as much access to the decision making processes as possible, including starting Haworth News to create a direct line of communication to the public. Councilwoman Wasser moved with her family to Haworth more than 14 years ago and she immediate felt the call to contribute in some way, so she began volunteering at her daughter’s preschool, which turned into sitting on the preschool’s board, which turned into involvement with Haworth Public Schools more broadly, which led to running for council. She has extensive experience working with large budgets in the private sector and will bring that fiscal prudence to the council. Councilwoman Siciliano has local politics in her blood: growing up, her parents would host council meetings in their homes. She has been involved with the Haworth Home and School Association since 2005, served as president in 2010-11 when she launched the HHSA’s website and started the drama club. Her experience working with our schools and students will be a valuable asset to the Council,” said Congressman Josh Gottheimer (NJ-5).
