Access to Secondary Care at East Orange VA Chief Among Voiced Concerns

Saturday, Congressman Josh Gottheimer (NJ-5) held a roundtable with Bergen County veterans in Rochelle Park to hear their concerns and suggestions. Topics discussed by the group include needed improvements to the Veterans Choice program, expanding access to secondary medical services, GI Bill education benefits, and post-9/11 veterans’ employment. Gottheimer also delivered a proclamation to commend Bergen County American Legion Commander Bob Salvini for his service to the veterans of Bergen County.

“I have always said that we must have the backs of our veterans who have always had ours, and no one knows better the needs of the veterans in our community than the exceptional group of Bergen County heroes I had the privilege of meeting with this weekend. I thank them for sharing their experiences and concerns with me and look forward to working alongside them to improve life for all of our New Jersey veterans,” said Congressman Josh Gottheimer.
