Washington, D.C. – Today, Congressman Josh Gottheimer (NJ-5) announced that he has joined the Congressional LGBT Equality Caucus.

The Congressional LGBT Equality Caucus was established in the U.S. House of Representatives in June 2008 by Co-Chairs Tammy Baldwin (D-WI) and Barney Frank (D-MA).  The Caucus is focused on equality for all Americans, including repealing discriminatory laws, eliminating hate-driven violence, and improving health and well-being for all.

“I’m proud to join the LGBT Equality Caucus to continue standing up for Jersey values and the LGBT community,” said Congressman Josh Gottheimer. “I look forward to working with my colleagues to promote equality and to make sure that all Americans are treated with dignity and respect.”
