Today, Congressman Josh Gottheimer (NJ-5) kicked off his office’s “Valentines for Veterans” drive at Jefferson Elementary School in Bergenfield. He joined with second and third grade students to make valentines for the veterans at the New Jersey Veterans Memorial Home in Paramus. He also encouraged other Fifth District residents to show their appreciation for local veterans by dropping their own cards off at Gottheimer’s offices in Glen Rock and Newton.

There are 34,553 veterans in New Jersey’s Fifth Congressional District and over 400,000 across the Garden State.

“Our veterans have given so much in defense of our freedoms; I was proud to join with the students at Jefferson Elementary School to make sure they know how much we appreciate their service,” said Congressman Josh Gottheimer. “I encourage people across the Fifth District to participate in “Valentines for Veterans” to show our gratitude to these brave men and women.”
