Newly-elected Congressman Josh Gottheimer (NJ-5) was sworn-in today, beginning his first term as the representative from New Jersey’s Fifth Congressional District. Gottheimer was joined by family and friends as he took the oath-of-office and reiterated his commitment to work across party lines to represent the best interests of the District.

“I am honored to take the oath today to serve the families of New Jersey’s Fifth Congressional District. I will always remember the tremendous responsibility and trust the people of northern New Jersey have bestowed on me,” said Gottheimer.

“In Congress, I will work across the aisle to lower taxes, cut unnecessary regulations, support our veterans and first responders, cut the national debt, fix our ailing infrastructure, and fight terrorism at home and abroad, while standing up for Jersey values. I am ready to roll up my sleeves and get to work.”
