On Monday, April 15, 2019, U.S. Congressman Josh Gottheimer (NJ-5) delivered coffee to the H&R Block in Teaneck to give taxpayers and employees an extra boost on Tax Day.

“We must fight back against Moocher States, reinstate SALT and cut taxes,” said Congressman Josh Gottheimer (NJ-5). “I heard it here today at H&R Block and I hear it all the time: we need to make living in New Jersey more affordable. That starts with cutting taxes at every level. I will continue to fight to reinstate the State and Local Tax deduction, stop double taxation, and lower taxes for families across North Jersey.”

Gottheimer has continued to make a push for lower taxes this month, announcing a bill to allow New Jersey to utilize the charitable deduction, like 33 other states, to alleviate high taxes. Gottheimer has also announced a bipartisan bill with Congressman Lee Zeldin (NY-1) that will reinstate the SALT deduction.
