Today, U.S. Congressmen Bill Pascrell, Jr. (NJ-9) and Josh Gottheimer (NJ-5) released the following statement regarding the establishment of a new $20 million TRU Financial Assistance Fund for Toys “R” Us employees:

“Toys ‘R’ Us employees deserve to be supported after a lifetime of work, helping to build one of America’s most beloved toy stores and one of New Jersey’s most significant employers. The establishment of the $20 million fund is a praiseworthy step for the thousands of employees and their families who lost their jobs. We’re encouraged by investments in New Jersey workers by the business community and New Jersey community. We hope that all parties take this opportunity to support those who have lost their jobs.”
