PARAMUS, NJ — Today, July 4, 2023, U.S. Congressman Josh Gottheimer (NJ-5) took part in the Paramus Independence Day Parade to celebrate the United States’ 247th birthday and honor all those who made the ultimate sacrifice for our great country.

“As we celebrate our nation’s Independence Day and America’s 247th birthday today, it was great to join Jersey families, veterans, and first responders in Paramus to honor all those who fought — and those who continue to fight — to make our freedom possible,” said Congressman Josh Gottheimer (NJ-5). “Our Founding Father Thomas Jefferson once said, ‘Love your neighbor as yourself, and your country more than yourself.’ The love of country and dedication to others is on clear display at this year’s North Jersey Fourth of July celebrations.”
