TEANECK, NJ — On March 17, 2025, U.S. Congressman Gottheimer (NJ-5) visited the Jewish Center of Teaneck to discuss the importance of the U.S.-Israel relationship and provide updates on the Israel-Hamas conflict. Gottheimer also spoke on the importance of the Jewish community amid increasing antisemitism across the country and in New Jersey.
“Since the devastating attack by Hamas terrorists on October 7 — 529 days ago, it has become more important than ever that we remain united as one community to support each other — in the same spirit as this congregation in Teaneck does every day,” said Congressman Josh Gottheimer (NJ-5), the only Jewish member of the New Jersey Congressional delegation. “The bottom line is that the United States must stand ready to provide Israel with the resources she needs to defend herself and stand by her until every hostage, especially the Americans, are returned home and the Iranian-backed Hamas terrorists are brought to justice. But I cannot do this alone. It will take every single one of us. It will take all of us coming together as a community.”
Gottheimer was joined by Teaneck Mayor Mark Schwartz, Deputy Mayor Karen Orgen, Councilman Elie Katz, and Rabbi Daniel Fridman of The Jewish Center of Teaneck.
