HACKENSACK, NJ – Today, November 21, 2020, U.S. Congressman Josh Gottheimer (NJ-5) handed out the first turkey at the Mt. Olive Baptist Church Annual Thanksgiving Turkey Giveaway in Hackensack, joined by Hackensack Deputy Mayor David Sims, members of Mt. Olive’s congregation, the Hackensack Junior Basketball League, and members of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority.

“Everyone should have a turkey on Thanksgiving,” said Congressman Josh Gottheimer (NJ-5). “While our community is facing this economic crisis and growing food insecurity, Thanksgiving is not only a time to be thankful for what we have, it’s also a time to look out for those in need. It’s so important to come together safely and support others in our North Jersey community, so thank you to everyone across the Fifth District who’s doing their part.”
