PARAMUS, NJ — Today, October 18, 2026, Congressman Josh Gottheimer (NJ-5) hosted his annual Service Academy Interest Event in Paramus, giving Fifth District students and families the chance to learn about the nomination and application process for the nation’s military service academies.

“Every year, I am inspired by the young people in our community who want to serve our country. Today was about giving our students and families the tools and information they need to pursue one of the most meaningful paths there is, and I could not be prouder of everyone who came out,” said Congressman Josh Gottheimer (NJ-5).

In 2026, New Jersey’s Fifth District set a record with 35 students accepted to service academies.
