ELMWOOD PARK, NJ — U.S. Congressman Josh Gottheimer (NJ-5) joined members of the community and local leaders to celebrate the Korean American Association of New Jerseys ‘Day of Special Needs.’ The event featured competitive games, music, and awards.

New Jersey is proud to be home to more than 104,000 residents with Korean ancestry, the fourth-largest Korean American population in the country.

“Our Korean American community is a critical part of North Jersey’s strength — working hard every day to make our neighborhoods an even better place to live, raise our families, and do business,” said Congressman Josh Gottheimer (NJ-5), an Associate Member of the Congressional Asian Pacific American Caucus (CAPAC). “Please know this: I am fighting for legislation to recognize the contributions of our Korean American community and will continue to defend Medicaid and other vital programs from drastic cuts that threaten our families. And, I will never stop fighting for all of you.”
