Gottheimer Awarded with the Champion of Medicare Award by The Coalition for Medicare Choices

PARAMUS, NJ — U.S. Congressman Josh Gottheimer (NJ-5) joined North Jersey senior citizens for their SilverSneakers exercise class at 24 Hour Fitness in Paramus. This class is offered at no extra charge through the Medicare Advantage program and helps ensure local seniors stay active and social — supporting their physical and mental health.

For his fifth consecutive year since taking office, Gottheimer was also honored with the Champion of Medicare Award by The Coalition for Medicare Choices for his consistent work supporting seniors and the Medicare Advantage program.

“Our seniors have given so much to this country and that’s why I will always get their backs,” said Congressman Josh Gottheimer (NJ-5). “Ensuring they have easy access to great programs like SilverSneakers — offered through Medicare Advantage at no extra cost — is an important part of helping North Jersey seniors stay healthy and active.”

Local North Jersey senior and Hackensack resident Margaret Greenspan said, “Medicare Advantage provides me with affordable and accessible health coverage.
