RIVER EDGE, NJ – On November 21, 2020, U.S. Congressman Josh Gottheimer (NJ-5) took part in St. Peter the Apostle Thanksgiving Turkey Drive in River Edge, joined by a dozen of the church’s volunteers, headed by Jackov Stipanov, as well as volunteers from the Center for Food Action. Frozen turkeys and non-perishable food items were collected for distribution by the Community Food Bank of New Jersey.

“Everyone should have a turkey on Thanksgiving,” said Congressman Josh Gottheimer (NJ-5). “While our community is facing this economic crisis and growing food insecurity, Thanksgiving is not only a time to be thankful for what we have, it’s also a time to look out for those in need. It’s so important to come together safely and support others in our North Jersey community, so thank you to everyone across the Fifth District who’s doing their part.”
