NORTH JERSEY — On January 6, 2026, in Fair Lawn, U.S. Congressman Josh Gottheimer administered the oath of office for Deputy Mayor Josh Reinitz for his third term. In Tenafly, Gottheimer then administered the oath of office for Councilmember Adam Michaels for his third term and Jenny Jackson for her first term.

“Josh has said from the beginning that he ran for office to help deliver to his kids a vision of the town he wanted them to grow up in — a place where they feel safe being who they are, and where people look out for one another, fighting for those Jersey Values we hold so dear. Eight years later, that mission hasn’t changed, and it continues,” said Congressman Josh Gottheimer (NJ-5) before swearing in Josh Reinitz.

“Jenny ran for Council for a simple reason: because she believes Tenafly can always continue improving, while also sticking to its roots which make it so incredible. She brings a practical, people-first approach shaped by listening, collaboration, and rolling up her sleeves,” said Congressman Josh Gottheimer (NJ-5) before swearing in Jenny Jackson.

“Adam Michaels has served Tenafly for six years on the Council — after three years on the

Planning Board — showing up, listening, and delivering practical results for neighbors across

town through a hands-on, get-it-done approach. He shows up and he believes in the work,” said Congressman Josh Gottheimer (NJ-5) before swearing in Adam Michaels.
