Today, Congressman Josh Gottheimer (NJ-5) sat down with local business leaders at the Mahwah Regional Chamber of Commerce (MRCC) to discuss tax cuts, regulatory reform, and infrastructure spending.  The roundtable, hosted by MRCC, included Mahwah Mayor William Laforet, Freeholder Mary Amoroso, as well as representatives from TD Bank, Jaguar Land Rover North America, and the Mahwah Sheraton.

Business leaders shared their ideas about how to create more good-paying jobs in northern Jersey in a open discussion that also included questions and answers with the Congressman.

“It was good to hear from local business leaders today about their priorities and how we can work together to grow our economy and bring more good paying jobs to the region,” said Congressman Josh Gottheimer. “To do this, I am focused on cutting taxes, eliminating unnecessary and burdensome regulations, and investing in our infrastructure. These aren’t partisan issues, they’re good-for-New Jersey issues. I appreciated hearing from local employers on what I can do in Washington to support our businesses here in Jersey.”

Shannon Lazare, the President of the Mahwah Regional Chamber of Commerce, said, “At our business roundtable, Congressman Gottheimer demonstrated that he is committed to working with the business community to help create more good-paying jobs here in northern Jersey. The business community can’t do this alone. It’s good to know that we have an ally in D.C..”
