WOODLAND PARK, NJ — Today, Thursday, October 29, 2026, Congressman Josh Gottheimer (NJ-5) toured the Amazon fulfillment facility in Woodland Park, where he saw first-hand how artificial intelligence and robotics are being used to get products to customers faster. He also met with site leaders to discuss what these technologies mean for workers in North Jersey.

“AI and robotics are already changing how products move through a facility like this one, and it was valuable to see that up close, while hearing directly from the people running it. Training our next generation of workers is key to success and continued innovation,” said Congressman Josh Gottheimer (NJ-5).

During the visit, Gottheimer met with site leadership and Amazon public policy staff, walked the facility floor, and discussed how AI is changing the way the facility operates, how employees are being trained for the jobs of the future, and how small businesses in New Jersey rely on Amazon’s fulfillment network.

Gottheimer co-chairs the House Commission on Artificial Intelligence and the Innovation Economy and has led bipartisan efforts to prepare workers for an AI-driven economy. He introduced the bipartisan AI Workforce Training Act with Congressman Mike Lawler (R-NY), which would provide companies a tax credit of 30 percent of qualified expenses, up to $2,500 per employee per year, for training workers to use, manage, and build AI systems.
