PARAMUS, NJ — U.S. Congressman Josh Gottheimer (NJ-5) visited the recently opened small business Big Blue Swim School and met with owners Penelope Clark & Chris Burden. Big Blue Swim School Paramus offers year-round swim lessons seven days a week for children beginning at just three months old. Big Blue Swim School opened in August 2022 and, after operating for only two months, already employs 59 Jersey residents.
“In North Jersey, our small businesses are truly the backbone of our communities. That’s why it was great to visit the recently opened Big Blue Swim School in Paramus and encourage folks to stay local and help our small businesses support our economy and create good-paying jobs,” said Congressman Josh Gottheimer (NJ-5). “In Congress, I’m dedicated to working across the aisle to cut taxes, cut outdated and unnecessarily burdensome red tape, improve access to capital, unleash more economic opportunity, and create jobs — to continue making North Jersey a great place to live, work, and do business.”
“We are thrilled to bring Big Blue Swim School to this community,” said Big Blue Swim School co-owner Penelope Clark. “Big Blue’s dedication to promoting a lifelong love of swimming and a critical life skill is something we’re proud to be a part of, especially as parents.”
“Fitness is important to us as a family and we know how truly innovative Big Blue is in terms of its instruction and technology,” said Big Blue Swim School co-owner Chris Burden. “The approach to teaching isn’t just about swimming and water safety, but also about instilling confidence in each child as they progress.”
