PARAMUS, NJ — U.S. Congressman Josh Gottheimer (NJ-5) visited The Frisch School and spoke with the entire school, which consists of more than a thousand students, at the beginning of Jewish American Heritage Month. Gottheimer spoke about his work as Co-Chair of the Problem Solvers Caucus, working across the aisle to find common ground, and leading bipartisan efforts to support the U.S.-Israel relationship. Gottheimer also discussed how students can get more involved in the community, and spent time taking questions from students.

“With antisemitic attacks and hate crimes of all kinds on the rise, I was glad to have the opportunity to visit The Frisch School and speak with students and educators about the critical work it takes to bridge divides,” said Congressman Josh Gottheimer (NJ-5). “As we fight to end all forms of hate, we must protect against any politically-motivated efforts to undermine the historic, bipartisan U.S.-Israel relationship, and our key partner in the Middle East.”

“Our students were deeply inspired by Congressman Gottheimer’s charge to go into public service and are grateful for his passionate representation of our district in Congress,” said Oran Goodman, Frisch Student & President of the Young Politicians Club.

Recently, Gottheimer has worked to support America’s key ally Israel — the only democracy in the Middle East — by joining together with members of Congress to raise critical concerns about the looming Iran Deal. Iran’s actions continue to threaten the security and stability of our key ally Israel, and the entire region. Since the Iranian regime has actively financed a robust worldwide network of proxy groups that host terror cells throughout the world, America must not forget where money will be funneled if terrorist sanctions are lifted on Iran.
