PHOTO RELEASE: Gottheimer Welcomed Back to Alma Mater — West Essex Regional School, Speaks and Answers Questions from Students
WEST ESSEX, NJ — West Essex Regional School, including educators and more than 250 high school seniors, invited U.S. Congressman Josh Gottheimer (NJ-5) back to speak at his alma mater about working in Congress with both Democrats and Republicans to find common ground. Gottheimer also spent time taking questions from students.
“It’s nostalgic to be back in these halls, and I remain so grateful to those who helped shape me here. One of New Jersey’s own, Albert Einstein, once said, ‘Education is not the learning of facts, but training the mind to think.’ I see that taking place right here. West Essex taught me how to think and to ask tough questions — and I remain eternally grateful,” said Congressman Josh Gottheimer (NJ-5). “The programs at West Essex help build character and leadership skills, and prepare all of you — for college, trades, good careers, and life beyond. As the son of a school teacher, I know just how important quality public education is to our families and communities. Like me, she would be proud of what you’ve all built.”
