PARAMUS, NJ — U.S. Congressman Josh Gottheimer (NJ-5) visited the new Valley Hospital in Paramus, which will feature a new federal investment he helped clawback to implement next-generation AI patient monitoring technology to improve safety and reduce patient falls. Gottheimer toured the state-of-the-art facility, including new operating rooms, single-patient rooms with smart beds, and more.
In 2019, Gottheimer helped break ground on Valley Hospital’s new, modern facility, alongside local, state, and federal New Jersey leaders, Valley Health leaders, and the hardworking women and men of labor.
“I am so excited for Valley Health’s new, state-of-the-art hospital and am honored to have helped claw back a key federal investment to ensure the best possible care can be provided for North Jersey residents. A short five years ago, I was lucky to be at the groundbreaking, and now, having the opportunity to tour the completed facility, I can’t wait to see all the good it will do,” said Congressman Josh Gottheimer (NJ-5). “It’s not easy to follow through on such a far-reaching plan with this big of an impact on our community. With this new hospital, Valley has transformed care for our residents and bolstered our economy by supporting local businesses and bringing good jobs to North Jersey.”
Gottheimer was joined by Valley Health CEO Audrey Meyers, Vice President of Government Affairs and Payer Strategies Nisha Sikder, Vice President & Chief Development Officer of Valley Hospital Foundation David Bohan, Vice President of Facilities Management Joseph Lorino, and Vice President of Communication and Marketing Megan Fraser.
