RELEASE: Gottheimer Announces 2025 Congressional App Challenge Winner — Creator of “Particulate Prognostics” App

NEW JERSEY — U.S. Congressman Josh Gottheimer (NJ-5) announced the Fifth District Congressional App Challenge winner, Rachel Kim, from Fort Lee, New Jersey. Rachel’s app, Particulate Prognostics, predicts daily air pollution levels and aims to protect people with asthma and other respiratory conditions.

The Congressional App Challenge is a nonpartisan competition for middle and high school students that promotes computer science education and teaches students to code to prepare for STEM careers. This year’s competition received over 30 apps submitted from students across the Fifth Congressional District.
