FORT LEE, NJ — Today, March 3, 2023, U.S. Congressman Josh Gottheimer (NJ-5) announced the opening of a new Fort Lee constituent services satellite office. The newsatellite office will be professionally staffed by Gottheimer’s top-tier Constituent Services team and will be available to help all Fifth District North Jersey residents experiencing any issues with a federal agency, VA benefits, Social Security, Medicare, passports, potholes, and much more.
Fort Lee is one of several new municipalities in the Fifth Congressional District represented by Gottheimer.
“My team and I are excited to bring Congress to Fort Lee and work with the Borough’s incredible residents, families, small businesses, and first responders. This new satelliteoffice will be a key foothold for our operations in Fort Lee and for many surrounding towns in the Fifth District,” said Congressman Josh Gottheimer (NJ-5). “As many of you know, since coming to Congress, my team and I have made it our mission to have the best constituent services in the nation. I think the numbers behind our work speak volumes to my all-star team’s dedication to North Jersey.”
Over the past two years, Gottheimer and his team have helped hundreds of veterans get access to their VA benefits and service medals; helped more seniors access their earned Social Security checks; helped get countless constituents back home from being stranded overseas; assisted with passport processes; helped hundreds fight the IRS; and helped thousands of constituents get their unemployment benefits. Team Gottheimer has also helped Fifth District residents get back tens of millions of dollars by cutting through red tape at federal agencies.

Since 2017, the Fifth District is up more than 357% in grants, resources, and federal dollars clawed back from Washington. For 2021 alone, the federal tax dollars clawed back amounted to an average savings of more than $750 for each household in the Fifth District. By clawing more federal investment back to North Jersey helps to lower local property taxes, make local communities safer, and make life more affordable.
Gottheimer was joined today by Bergen County Commissioner Tracy Zur, Fort Lee Mayor Mark Sokolich, and Fort Lee Councilmembers Harvey Sohmer and Brian Drumgoole.
Gottheimer also recently announced a new satellite office in Englewood. Find more information here.
