RELEASE: Gottheimer Celebrates Lunar New Year with Fort Lee Community

FORT LEE, NJ — U.S. Congressman Josh Gottheimer (NJ-5) celebrated the Lunar New Year at Lewis F. Cole Intermediate School with the Fort Lee Korean Parents Advisory Council and North Jersey families. The event featured traditional food, music, and performances. 

“Wishing a happy Lunar New Year to the millions celebrating in North Jersey and across our great nation, and may the Year of the Snake bring you peace, longevity, and prosperity,” said Congressman Josh Gottheimer (NJ-5), an Associate Member of the Congressional Asian Pacific American Caucus (CAPAC). “I will continue fighting for North Jersey’s proud Asian American and Pacific Islander community — which is home to so many incredible local leaders, small business owners, and families who work day in and day out to make our state an even better place to live.”

Gottheimer was joined by Assemblywoman Shama Haider, Assemblywoman Ellen Park, Fort Lee Mayor Mark J. Sokolich, Fort Lee Councilwoman Ila Kasofsky, Fort Lee Councilman Joseph Cervieri, Fort Lee Councilman Harvey Sohmer, Fort Lee Councilman Peter Suh, Fort Lee Councilman Paul Yoon, Fort Lee Councilman Bryan Drumgoole, and Jennifer Park of the Fort Lee Korean Parents Advisory Council.
