TEANECK, NJ — On Monday, November 20, 2023, U.S. Congressman Josh Gottheimer (NJ-5) joined with the Bergen County NAACP to help collect donations and hand out Thanksgiving turkeys to support and look out for local families in need.
“Thanksgiving is not only a time to come together with friends and loved ones and to celebrate everything that we have to be grateful for, but it’s also a time to look out for those in need,” said Congressman Josh Gottheimer (NJ-5). “I’m so grateful for the Bergen County NAACP and our great community organizations. Every year, because of countless volunteers, we’re able to give back, help those who may not be as fortunate, and make sure everyone has the Thanksgiving turkey they deserve.”
Gottheimer was joined by Bergen County NAACP President Jeff Carter, Bergen County Commissioners Tracy Zur and Germaine Ortiz, and Englewood Councilman Kevin Wilson.
