TEANECK, NJ — Today, U.S. Congressman Josh Gottheimer (NJ-5) visited Holy Name Medical Center’s COVID-19 vaccination site to witness the 1,000th educator vaccinated at the facility. 

John Tedeschi, Social Studies Chairperson at Bergen Catholic High School, was the 1,000th teacher vaccinated by Holy Name. Mr. Tedeschi was joined by fellow Bergen Catholic High School educators and school staff Dr. Brian Mahoney, the Bergen Catholic High School President; Michael Rucereto, who teaches Robotics Engineering; Tom McLaughlin, a History teacher and Baseball coach; and Bob Muggeo, the Head Baseball Coach.

“We need to ensure that our teachers and students can begin safely returning to the classroom. Getting more of our North Jersey educators and school staff vaccinated is a major priority of mine in order to make this next step toward pandemic recovery a reality,” said Congressman Gottheimer (NJ-5). “Holy Name and all their frontline health care workers and staff have been true leaders throughout the COVID-19 crisis, and I applaud them for their current work in vaccinating so many North Jersey educators, school staff, and residents from throughout our community.”

Gottheimer was joined today by Holy Name President and CEO Michael Maron; Michele Acito, DNP, RN, NP-C, NE-BC, Executive Vice President, Chief Nursing Officer; Nancy Palamara, PharmD, Vice President, Diagnostics and Therapeutics; Diane Reilly, Director, Patient Access; and Anita Cruz, RN, Director, Cardiovascular Services.
