RELEASE: Gottheimer Honors Martin Luther King Jr. Day at New Hope Baptist Church

HACKENSACK, NJ — U.S. Congressman Josh Gottheimer (NJ-5) honored Martin Luther King Jr. Day with Reverend Dr. Drew Kyndall Ross at New Hope Baptist Church in Hackensack.
The event was organized by New Hope Baptist Church and Sheriff Anthony Cureton in partnership with the Fellowship of Black Churches of Hackensack and Vicinity.
“Whether it’s packing a meal, or doing whatever you can do to give back — for me that’s what today’s about, and I hope it is for you too,” said Congressman Josh Gottheimer (NJ-5). “To help others and to serve is the best way we can honor Dr. King.”
Gottheimer was joined by Reverend Dr. Drew Kyndall Ross, New Jersey Senator Britnee Timberlake, Assemblywoman Shama Haider, County Clerk John Hogan, Sheriff Anthony Cureton, Commissioner Vice-Chairwoman Mary Amoroso, Commissioner Steve Tanelli, Commissioner Tracy Zur, Englewood Councilman Kevin Wilson, Hackensack Superintendent Dr. Thomas McBryde, and Hackensack Board of Education Trustee Kenneth Martin.
