HACKENSACK, NJ – On Tuesday, November 26, 2019, U.S. Congressman Josh Gottheimer (NJ-5) held his 44th “Cup of Joe with Josh” Town Hall at the Coach House Diner in Hackensack. Dozens of Fifth District residents joined the discussion with Gottheimer about everything from fighting for transparency for parents of lead water test results from their children’s schools, reinstating the SALT and charitable tax deduction to provide actual tax relief for our hardworking families, to lowering out-of-pocket costs for prescription drugs, and his work with the bipartisan Problem Solvers Caucus.
“I’d like to sincerely thank the Coach House Diner for all their hospitality in welcoming us today and I’m grateful for all the Fifth District residents who came to share their thoughts and ask questions about the issues on their minds,” said Congressman Josh Gottheimer (NJ-5). “Hearing from the folks I represent all around North Jersey is an essential part of my ability to best represent their interests back in Congress. I always appreciate the opportunity to answer questions and engage with North Jersey residents to discuss what’s concerning them most. I will continue to fight for common sense solutions on the issues we discussed, including keeping our air and water clean, cutting taxes, investing in our crumbling infrastructure, lowering our health care costs, and standing up for our first responders and our veterans. I’m going to take the concerns I heard today to inform my work in Washington fighting for the Fifth District.”
