WASHINGTON, D.C. — This week, U.S. Congressmen Josh Gottheimer (NJ-5) and Max Miller (OH-7) hosted a roundtable in the U.S. Capitol with a released hostage and family members of hostages taken by Hamas terrorists on October 7. Together, they discussed the importance of bringing all the hostages — including the remains of the final two Americans — home now.

The gathering marked day 705 of their captivity in Gaza by Hamas.

“For more than 700 days, these families have endured unimaginable pain as their loved ones remain in the hands of Hamas terrorists. Two American families are still waiting to bring their loved ones’ bodies home to be laid to rest. Our commitment to the hostages and their families must be clear: we never leave anyone behind,” said Congressman Josh Gottheimer (NJ-5). “As a member of the House Intelligence Committee, I will not stop fighting until every hostage is returned — including the bodies of the two remaining Americans — and we crush Hamas.”

Guests in attendance included Raz Ben Ami, a released hostage; Ilay David, the brother of hostage Evyatar David; and Daniel Neutra, the brother of deceased hostage Omer Neutra. Representatives of the Hostage Family Forum and the American Jewish Committee (AJC) were also present.

Members of Congress in attendance included roundtable hosts Reps. Josh Gottheimer (NJ-5) and Max Miller (OH-7), as well as Reps. Morgan Luttrell (TX-8), Laura Gillen (NY-4), Maggie Goodlander (NH-2), and Steve Cohen (TN-9).
