WASHINGTON, D.C. —U.S. Congressman Josh Gottheimer (NJ-5) hosted a Telephone Town Hall with thousands of North Jersey residents to discuss bipartisan efforts to lower energy costs, the ongoing conflict with Iran, DHS funding, and his work to claw federal tax dollars back to New Jersey’s hard-working families and businesses.
Gottheimer answered questions on his new package of bipartisan bills that address the energy shortage in New Jersey while protecting the environment, and his work on the House Intelligence Committee regarding the ongoing conflict in Iran. He also discussed his work across the aisle to fund DHS and restore airport efficiency, and how he is clawing back federal tax dollars for Jersey to make life more affordable for families. Lastly, Gottheimer also provided resources for constituents who need help navigating federal agencies, such as accessing VA benefits, Medicare, and getting a passport.
“This telephone town hall gave me the chance to speak directly with residents about the issues that matter most to North Jersey families,” said Congressman Josh Gottheimer (NJ-5). “I’m focused on cutting taxes and lowering costs to keep more money in your pockets. I will keep fighting to combat rising utility bills, bring down your taxes, and ensure that hard-working Jersey families have access to affordable health care and childcare.”
Gottheimer was joined by Bergen County Commissioner Tom Sullivan, Cresskill Mayor John Morgan, M.D., Hackensack Fire Department Chief Keith Rosazza, and Rev. Shea Maultsby of Unity of Sussex County.
