WASHINGTON, D.C. — U.S. Congressman Josh Gottheimer (NJ-5) hosted a Telephone Town Hall with thousands of North Jersey residents to discuss recent bipartisan work to lower utility bills, health care premiums, childcare costs, food prices, and property taxes.

Gottheimer answered questions on how he is working to combat rising food and grocery costs, tackle utility rate hikes, extend Affordable Care Act tax credits to bring health care costs down, expand access to affordable childcare, and lower taxes. Gottheimer also discussed recent events around the globe in Iran, Greenland, and Venezuela, and provided resources for upcoming winter storms.

“This telephone town hall gave me the chance to connect with thousands of Fifth District residents. What’s crystal clear to me is that we need to get costs down for families and small businesses in North Jersey,” said Congressman Josh Gottheimer (NJ-5). “That’s why I’m focused on cutting taxes and lowering costs to keep more money in your pockets. I will keep fighting to combat rising utility and grocery bills, protect our seniors and veterans, and ensure that hard-working Jersey families have access to affordable health care and childcare.”

During the Telephone Town Hall, Gottheimer was joined by Rabbi Gabe Cohen from Temple Emanu-El of Closter, NJ Assemblyman Chris Tully (LD-38), Upper Saddle River Police Chief Patrick Rotella, Dr. Joseph Underwood, Chief Medical Officer at Hackensack University Medical Center (HUMC), and Englewood Fire Department Chief Jeff Kaplan.
